The Operators Management module enables the production managers to manage their workforce with the possibility to plan operators’ training and shifts rotation in the most effective way. In addition, Exagogica solution permits a constant monitoring of the resources suitability to all the mandatory requirements. In this way, the management of specific risks prevention training and the assignation to the workplaces with regards to physical fitness is made simpler and safer.
This process can be managed from the minimum level of the team, up to the consultation of the aggregated indexes for the whole corporation.
To manage the analysis of resources availability on the workplaces in an effective way, it is necessary to undertake a system configuration in order to describe the workplaces as a set of operations and requirements. This data structure permits to recover information relative to the operational abilities on single operations, even when they are linked to more workplaces, that can vary with regards to the productive configuration chosen by the plant. Thanks to its flexibility, and if correctly used, Exagogica solution enables to predict the sustainability of the possible productive configurations, the need of additional workforce and the potential cost of re-organization for the coverage of particular needs.
The production operators’ evaluation of the operational abilities is strictly linked to the definition of the different certification levels of an ability. Once the evaluation is done, the analysis of process capability permits to define the critical objectives of coverage and specialization. Through these objectives, you can determine the need of training to obtain the necessary organizational flexibility, or to support the qualitative levels defined upon specific operations. This process, recursive in nature, is managed with regards to the standards of continuous improvement.
Inside every company, the management of the mandatory requirements for the production operators is a theme of great interest. To assure the compliance according to the laws in force, is just one of the first goals of this kind of activity. Actually, the greatest advantages are linked to the possibility to manage in an effective way the positioning of the operators on the workplaces and the possibility to date back to the training done for specific risks prevention for health and safety in any moment, in order to prevent worker potential objections, also due to work-related causes.
The data collected on the operational abilities and on the possession of the requirements, automatically become a map of operators’ availability on workplaces of the current configuration. Starting from the mapping of availability, it is possible to define which are the gaps in terms of workplaces coverage in case of the appointed operator unavailability. Another important function this kind of mapping enables, is the simulation of workforce availability in future production configurations: which operators would cover new workplaces? How many operators are necessary? Which development actions can be performed to prevent uncovered situations?
