Gap Analysis

1. Compare the details of the branches

Observe the Key activities indicators in the dashboard widget and check the total number of skills with gaps and the related classification by delta relevance. Then, access the main page to compare the details of the branches, fix the parameters of your analysis through filters and use the specific function to graphically examine all the information.

The dashboard widget shows you the Key activities indicators of “Gap Occurrence ranking” widget. You can view the total number of skills with gaps and the related classification by gap relevance.

Access the main page to view all the detailed information. For each skill you can compare the number of gaps and of skills classified by delta level.

The system shows the gap occurrence ranking of all the skills (used in all the branches) since filters are not set by default.

Use filters to select a specific ”Branch”.

Access the main page, use sortable column to change the data order and enter the detail to identify the resources with the highest gap.

8. Plan a development action to fill a gap

Access the main page, identify the skill you need to improve and enter the detail to select the resource and plan the development action. Then, define all the necessary details and create the training.

Identify a specific skill on the basis of gap occurrences and enter the detail.

The related resources list is displayed and you can start planning focused development actions. Identify the resource you need to assign the training action and click on the specific icon.

A window is displayed where you can define all the necessary details (“Target level”, “Expected hours” and “Ending date”).

9. Manage and close a development acion

Look at a development action. Open the form, update information and save changes. If the action was successful, the target level will be automatically registered as the current one.

10. Order gap by overall impact

Gaps are not all the same. Some of them can have a larger impact on the resources` compliance to their job positions. The system calculates impact ratio and shows data in a dedicated column. Ordering gaps per impact can be useful to intervene on the most important ones with priority.

11. Visualize all the resources'' levels on a specific skill

Access to the overall levels detail page to view all the occurrences reported by the resources on the specific skill, verifkiying if the result is at the required level, if it`s a gap, an over or even if the skill is not currently required.

12. Have a general overview of the distribution of gaps and overs

Use the charts to understand which is the distribution of gaps and overs in the skills you are interested in by a view based on punctual data or by a view of relative deltas for each skill.
