Area Management

1. Create a new area

A new area can be created, assigned to a specific sector and described within the "New area" pop-up.

Access the area management widget which leads to the main page.

At the main page click on the button named "New" to create a new area.

The button "New" opens a pop-up where the mandatory fields must be defined. The mandatory fields are: sector and area name.

Insert a desired data in the mandatory fields and click on the button "Save".

The new area will appear in the main table of the main page.

2. Overview of the list of areas

All areas can be viewd in the main table together with the detailed information containing: the sector to which the area belongs, number of skills and new created skills per area. Moreover, the data can be filtered.

Click on the area management widget which leads to the main page.

All areas can be viewed in the main page together with the detailed information containing: the sector which the area belongs to, number of skills and new created skills per area.

The main table data can be sorted. Click on the desired header column table to sort the column.

The main table can be filtered with this three filters: sector, private catalog and the area (search filter).

Select the desired data in the filters fields and click on the button "Apply".

The "+" button on the main page table opens the pop-up with a table which contains information about the column that is selected. These columns are: skills contained, shared skills, branch skills and site skills.

3. Modify the area

Areas can be modified or deleted if necessary.

Click on the area management widget which leads to the main page.

On the main page, select the desired area and click on the detail (lens icon).

On the detail page, select the "Detail" tab.

To modify the area, select a desired sector in the "Sector name" drop-down menu or change the area name and click on the button "Save".

The notification pop-up will appear with the question "Are you sure you want to save changes?". Click on the button "Yes" to confirm the action.

To delete the area click on the button "Delete".

4. Manage skills within the area

Skills of the sector can be managed in the way one needs to shift a certain number of skills to another area or to remove them. Moreover, the catalog level of the skills can be managed.

Click on the area management widget which leads to the main page.

On the main page, select the desired area and click on the detail (lens icon).

On the detail page, select the "Contents" tab.

In the tab "Contents", click on the drop-down menu which is in the table column named "area" next to the desired skill.

Select the desired area and click on the button "Save".

After the area is saved, the notification pop-up will appear.

5. Mark an area as site private

An area can be marked to become site-private. By this way, only the selectd site could be use it. This will define a private skill catalog for each site, suitable to describe specific product and process related skills

At the main page click on the button named "New" to create a new area.

The button "New" opens a pop-up where the mandatory fields must be defined. The mandatory fields are: sector and area name.

An area can be marked to become site-private. Mark the Private Catalog checkbox to make this area as private. By this way, only the selected site could use it. This will define a private skill catalog for each site, suitable to describe the specific product and process related skills.

When the private catalog is marked, the branch field and the site field appear in the pop-up. Choose a desired branch and site.

Fill the mandatory field "Area name" and click on the button "Save".
